Primary Radar Mode

In primary radar mode, a single LPR®-1DHP-291 measures distance and speed to a reflective target, such as a metal corner reflector. With typical ranges up to 50 meters (depending on the target’s RCS), it offers very high update rates and cost-effective installation. Common applications include crane and machinery positioning, presence detection, level probing, and object detection.

Secondary Radar Mode

In secondary radar mode, two LPR®-1DHP-291 units measure distance and speed exclusively between each other, offering ranges up to 300 meters and high update rates. It is ideal for crane positioning, heavy machinery, process automation, and collision avoidance.

Diversity Radar Mode

In diversity radar mode, four LPR®-1DHP-291 units are grouped into two measurement pairs and mounted side by side. This mode offers very high ranges of up to 500 meters, high update rates, and enables highly reliable operation even under the harshest conditions.
